Traditional Indian Cuisine Workshop

On 17 May 2009 (Sun), Mdm Retnam kick-start our IAEC series of Interest Group. On her own initiative, knowing that the cutleries in the kitchen are not 'halal', she brought her own bowls, spoon, oil, etc from home. Prior to the commencement of the workshop, she painstakingly neatly arranged and laid all her ingredients for others to see. She had printed the recipe and the steps of preparing mutton soup & yogurt salad. In line with healthy lifestyle, she produced two health tips on Mint Leaves & Parsley. 12 people attended and enjoyed the afternoon. The feedbacks received were very encouraging. Participants found the session very informative, and lively. Both Ms Rahmah and I acted as translators on the method of preparation. All present were given a bowl of mutton soup with small slices of French loaves and a plate of yogurt salad for tasting. They enjoyed and gave high marks to Mdm Retnam's recipe. All helpers and participants were later invited for a tea session at the coffee shop across the road. With that, the Sunday afternoon came to an end.
